ARTIST STATEMENT:

As the River Retakes is an experimental video series exploring how we treat bodies of water vital to our urban existence. Throughout history, humans have built their societies from the offerings of water. Now, in a time of ecological neglect, will our waterways take revenge by uncontrollably flowing into our lives or can humans find a new symbiosis with the surrounding rivers?
